Adobe Acrobat help needed

I’m trying to fill out this form online- would rather not print it out and type it- and have no problem except when I get to box 15 and try to fill in the date, when I try it only accepts numbers, no letters or slashes, so I try and input either 122507 or 12252007 and when I do it places either commas or periods between the numbers. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.

You are doing nothing wrong.

The Adobe PDF form was improperly coded when it was created. You may want to notify the EPA of the form error. Just don’t hold your breath with the agency getting it fixed in a reasonable time.

You might want to right-click on the form to see if you can download it to your computer before completing it. It might work, and then again, it might not.

Thanks- guess I’ll have to break out the typewriter for those lines.

Or fill it out on the computer and put a note about Box 15 in the Remarks section.

Or you could just fill it out with the periods.

12.20.05 or whatever- I’m pretty sure they’ll be able to figure it out.

The problem there is that it puts the periods in for me, and not in correct date format- 03/28/2008 comes out as 32.808 or 3,282,008, depending on how entered :frowning: .

I see what you mean.

I tried downloading it but it blocks the same characters when loaded from my HD too.

You might try opening it with Foxit Reader

Otherwise, I guess you’ll have to put the date in the Remarks box.
