I’ve only just noticed that the adverts in threads are targeted based on Google searches that I’ve done recently. Has it been like that for long?

I’ve suspected it for a while but some very targeted adverts have appeared in the past couple of days that have confirmed it.

The ads are targeted based on your IP address and the thread you’re in.

It’s always been like that – sometimes the hit is dead on. Sometimes it’s such a big miss that the it’s analogies from Planet Weird, which makes it worthwhile to see just to laugh.
