Advice for a newly diagnosed possible breast cancer

So an update. I have an excisional biopsy scheduled the first week in Aug. With a new surgeon at the same practice. I did not hold off telling of my unhappiness with her practice’s communication. But given the more wasted time switching practices what with getting referrals etc., I’ll stay with the devil I know. One reason for the delay now is that I will be working the polls for our primary and I asked if I should bow out of poll working - she said “No, it’s not cancer, there’s no hurry.” I am clinging to those words and hoping they don’t end up my epitaph.

And finally, per pathology “no evidence of disease.” I ended up firing the 2nd surgeon as well, and loved the new one at a new practice. Although this journey started in March, I am finally at rest with the results. Although, why the micro-calcifications, who knows.

Good news, congratulations! Yeah, bodies do weird shit all the time, but if the weird shit isn’t actually a sign of serious disease, that’s good.

The breasts create both normal and abnormal calcifications. Congratulations on being on the normal side.

Yay! I hope this brings you peace of mind.
