I’m headed off on a trip to Trinidad and Tobago soon, and I’m wondering if anyone here has been there? I’ll be doing a lot of hiking around, and I understand that this is the wet season there with tons of mosquitoes, etc, so I have no idea what to wear. I’m assuming long sleeves/pants to protect from sun and bugs, but what kind of long sleeves do you wear when it’s 35 degrees out and alternately pouring rain and blazing sun? I’ll be away from the city there, so I’m afraid of being stranded with uncomfortable or inappropriate clothes and no way to get more clothes, but I am having a heck of a time deciding what to buy up here in Canada to ensure that I won’t be miserable the whole time.
Any tropical type dopers have any suggestions?
