I drive past Salem Hospital twice a day and I know that a hospital stay can be the most boring experience in the world (they nevr give you quite enough drus). Ditto is he needs milkshakes or other goodies to supplement the hospital food.

I’ll let you know how long he’ll be there and what room he’s in after I find out. I’ll ask him if he wants me to post it or if he’d rather I e-mail it to people who request it. This is an extremely crappy thing to have happened to him.

Yes, he was crossing the street and the driver was turning from the cross-street (if I understood him correctly). The driver was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way. So hopefully the driver’s insurance will pay for everything and not contest any of his bills.

This morning, while Aesiron was walking to work (my house), he was hit by a car. It was dark, and the driver couldn’t see him. He suffered a broken leg, and when I talked to him he was about to be transported to the Salem hospital for orthopedic surgery. Hopefully I’ll be able to talk to him or see him tonight after surgery and post another update.

Fortunately the driver was fully insured so his medical bills and such should be covered. But he’s still feeling pretty bum (who wouldn’t??) so if you have any warm thoughts or well-wishes, I know he’d be glad to hear them.

I hope and pray everything goes well after this unfortunate accident
