AFC and NFC Conference Championship Games NFL

Of course I want Seattle to win, but I don’t think they will. I don’t have enough knowledge to evaluate the ins and outs of football, but there’s so much hubris on the local news stations that I think it’s going to come back to bite the home team.

So far, this is vintage Rogers. Totally in control.

Seattle strategy so far; our defense is so good we’ll just keep them on the field.

Oh, snap!

Isn’t the Seattle stadium supposed to be uper wooper loud? Maybe I just have the volume turned down because of the insipid commentators.

Yeah, the Pack is wearing them out systematically.

As of now, (14:00 in 2nd) the Hawks have 10 total yards. Eeep. Three and out again!

Like I said, GB is obviously going to win.

With 5:25 left in the first half, Rodgers’ QB rating is 51.5, while Wilson’s is 0.0.

Yipes.

Well, so far Rodgers has been terrible and McCarthy is being a puss. Those two things have kept this game from being a blowout. If I’m a Packer fan I’m terrified. The refs will even things out in the second half and Seattle will clean up its shit.

Clay Matthews blew an opportunity to end this game with that block on Wilson, if you’re going to take that penalty, get your eyes up and make it count.

This Wilson guy is the starter for Seattle? Rumored to be getting a contract extension making him the highest paid QB in the league?

Also, I’m surprised it hasn’t been a bigger story that the Seahawks are basically the NFC version of the Chiefs. When Jermaine Kearse is your big weapon, you might have some issues moving the ball.

Well Rodgers is probably tired from playing a quarter and a half almost straight. At least he hasn’t had to scramble at fuckin all.

Packers line is dominant on both sides of the ball.

Update. Halftime–Wilson QB rating still 0.00.

…and, Francisco Franco is still dead.

We wish we could be terrified about having a 2 or 3 score lead at halftime in a confererence championship game!

As a Pats fan, neither of these teams are scaring me right now. The Packers have been marching down the field on Seattle’s defensive penalties, and even then, they can barely get in the endzone (I believe the one touchdown pass was a “free” play [flag on Seattle]). Good job on the Packers’ defense on getting those turnovers, but the offense should have gotten a lot more points by now.

And those Green Bay personal fouls were unnecessary and damaging, especially the one that moved them from 1st and goal on the 4 to the 19 yard line. It cost them 4 points.

I hope they play this way next week (as long as the Pats don’t play this way today).

At the half, Rodgers is 12 for 21, 115 yds, one TD, 2 INT, QB rating = 48.8.
Wilson is 2 for 9, 12 yds, 0 TD, 3 INT, QB rating = 0.0 (!).

When was the last time a playoff quarterback managed a half like that?

McCarthy’s crap decision making has kept Seattle in the game. You’re in the conference championship game, you ought to be able to get a yard in 2 plays. Or, I don’t know, run a play action pass on 1st and goal after you set them up beautifully with some nice runs.

I’m sure it was one of the Bears QBs…plus Delhomme.

Seattle is in the game?

On the radio they said Wilson has a Blutarsky.
