After 26 years I'm cutting off DirecTv

Note that if you can find the two locations on Google Maps, it will give you point to point (as the crow flies) distances.

you don’t remember Time-Warner?

I didn’t know that. Thanks!

We had DirecTV when I was a kid. It was really fun when we had the black market cards that unlocked everything :wink:including local broadcast stations all over the country. Of course high-speed internet and streaming makes all that seem rather quaint.

This is what we have too. We love it. It’s about a 1/3 of the price of our old cable. We have all of the channels that we had with cable plus more and it includes the regular network channels (except for ABC - I’m guessing it will be back shortly though). We also have an unlimited DVR. I couldn’t be happier. I haven’t been contacted by them in any way since I joined up.

While Directv Stream is considerably cheaper than cable I find it’s still no bargain compared to stuff like Netflix/HBOMax/Disney+ etc.
With local sports I think I’m paying about $118/mo and they just sent me notice that it’s going up another $8.
