Rumor has it that Butch Vig has been in the studio since August producing Green Day’s follow up to ‘American Idiot’. I was surprised to find out that since their last tour date, Green Day et al have popped up in the form of the Foxboro Hot Tubs.
This got me thinking about artists who have had to follow up on a seminal work.

**Alanis Morrisette **found herself in Indiadealing with life after the storm of ‘Jagged Little Pill’ had died down. The gonads and strife of her songs on ‘Jagged Little Pill’ gave way to the soft and spiritual ‘Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie’.
And then…I hear crickets.
