What I really wanna comment on are the previews…
A Happy Yay for the one in which a deep Orson Wellesian voice begins a narration about “In the beginning of the 21st century, we did not realize we were being watched by intelligences across the reaches of space, planning to take our planet” and I knew it was for the Spielberg-Cruise WAR OF THE WORLDS. I am so there!
A Surprised Yay for Steve Martin as Inspector Closeau in THE PINK PANTHER- is Kevin Kline’s part the Herbert Lom role? and it’s really cool that the Hit Man from The Professional is Closeau’s assistant!
And a big WTF?!? for the Burton-Depp CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY!
Way to piss on my hopes & dreams for that movie! Yeah, I’m still going to see it but now I’ll be dreading the potential train-wreck.
