I am posting this in hopes of preserving any shred of credibility I may have on this board. Yesterday I posted a brief thread titled Lgdttqatsdt. I assure you, I was not drunk.
Here’s the back story:
Inigo, the biggest little Inigo and I were having a conversation about grammar, a topic that actually comes up frequently in our household. Little Inigo mentioned that she does not abbreviate while texting, and in fact uses proper punctuation at all times. Inigo told us about Snowboarder Bo’s practice of typing out “Let’s go down to the quarry and throw stuff down there” in lieu of “LOL.”
It occurred to me that I use “LOL” far too often, and I started using Snowboarder Bo’s phrase. Well, it took way too long and too much data to send that in texts, so after a long and intense battle with autocorrect on my new Android phone I’ve adopted Lgdttqatsdt. This makes Inigo’s head explode, along with “irregarldess” and “nucular.”
Hooray for grammar and context!
OK. Good to know. Well worth the effort involved. Thanks.
cntxt is evrythng lol
Gallant effort to make your purpose clearer! As clever as it is, I will refrain from using it myself, but I applaud the abbreviation as making more of a point than the original.
Is Inigo your penis?
Kind of. Inigo is my husband.
I’m pretty sure he’s been called that on occasion here…
ETA: Psst! Inigo Montoya, the Doper. I think, anyway, from context.
Any actual use of “Lgdttqatsdt” will make this impossible, i’m afraid.
