I loved Age of Empires. Sometimes my co-workers and I would stay after work and play it in the server room of our company (the good-old days).
It is getting close to release and I did not see another thread on this. Here is the recently released gameplay trailer for it:
I’m looking forward to it being on sale.
I bought the remastered AOE2 awhile back and was bored to tears with it in fewer than three hours. And I used to play that for hours and hours and hours back in the day.
So while I’m hopeful that a shiny new version could again provide that kind of enjoyable engagement, I’m somewhat dubious that the gameplay ever can again.
I get that. While I am interested and have great memories of it I am definitely on the “wait and see” side of things.
That said I love this style of game but we do not see them much anymore so, hopeful.
