I like playing conquest, but I hate that they surrender. The Japenese and the Britons always give a good fight, but destroy two of the Spaniards multi-castles and they give up. The French are nothing but surrender monkeys. I’d like to turn off the surrendering thing, is there a way?

To your second question: The Goths are far better 
If you problem is the one I think it is, I believe your problem would be solved by downloading a patch from Microsoft.
