One would hope so - but it does not appear that the police are always eager to get involved.

eh, probably for the best really.
Let the groups that want to come to a big fight, come to a big fight and duke it out. Have cops around to make sure that it doesn’t get too out of hand, or doesn’t spill out into other areas.
Then people who actually just want to peacefully protest or counter protest can do so without all these violent idiots stirring things up.
