Aggressively violent imagery - equal among both parties?

It was a British movie, for fuck’s sake.

Loughner’s old girlfriend has surfaced. She said he" called the government crap, a big thing that was trying to take over everything and we had no say in anything, that we were controlled 100 percent"
Sounds like Beck and Rush to me .
Back a generation or so ago, Joe Macarthy started a national with hunt for commies. He stirred up the people with his soapbox in the Senate. You can whip the crazies up with scary rhetoric. Scared people can be controlled.
He was an anti government, right winger, who loved guns . He plotted killing Giffords and called it an assassination. He plotted it for some time.
No way he is a lefty.

You sir are brilliant…!

This snippet from the Digby site sums up the hypocrisy quite well:

“I think my favorite right wing gambit is their ability to pivot from being aggressive defenders of the right to say and do anything in a free country to a bunch of Victorian spinsters calling for the smelling salts over the ill-mannered behavior of their political opponents ---- in the same day!”

I could say more, but not nearly as well. It’s all about hypocrisy.

Well, now, cut him some slack. The last surviving member of the Ozzie and Harriet clan passed away couple days back, and the boy’s kinda tore up.

I heard that on the radio, and they said he was 75 - 76 something like that. I used to watch that show as a kid. That means I’m getting old too. Noooooooooooooooooo!

It’s actually spot on for once, if the girlfriend quote is accurate. At least, it is when the rightards are criticising government that they don’t like. Then they are all about “pretty soon government will control EVERYTHING”.

So using the right’s own rhetoric, Loughner is one of them.

Ironically, in the reality-based community, neither party has a monopoly on control, because institutionalized discrimination and secret prison camps are pretty controlling, too.

Any particular reason you’re giving more weight to one girl who knew him in high school than another?

Oh, wait…I think I know why…

Who said I am giving more weight?

Yep, just like David did.

or maybe,

Brother Maynard : It says: “Here may be found the last words of Joseph of Aramethia. He who is valiant and pure of spirit may find the Holy Grail in the Castle of AAAhhahhhhahhaaa.”
Arthur: What?
Brother Maynard : The Castle of AAahaahhaaaaaa.
Sir Bedemere: What, he’s dead?
Brother Maynard: He must’ve died while carving it.

So let me get this straight. Conservatives whine about Death Panels, then institute them? What kind of spineless lying evil fucks are they? Where was the Free Market? Thanks for the confirmation which party actively despises the people they’re supposed to be serving.

Arizona:
State Senate: 70% Republican
State House: 67% Republican
Governor: Republican

The free market is alive and well. What you are referring to is government health care. They operate on a budget.

Art has a long, proud history of being inspired by, and protesting, political events. Are Glenn Beck’s books “Right-wing Porn”? How about the movie Red Dawn? Is that also “porn”?

Forgive me for focusing. I’m fairly busy, so picking on topic and sticking to it works better for me. Is there something else you’d prefer that I talk about? Why is that, exactly?

Once again, I have *specifically *said that I doubted Loughner was inspired by any actions by the Right. What I *am *saying, though, is that both sides should take this as a cautionary tale and take this opportunity to calm things down. Try reading what I’ve posted, instead of what you find most convenient to take offense from.

So why did it allow those people to die preventable deaths, if it’s so much better? What kind of heartless evil monster is it? The down on their luck deserve to suffer agony and perish? That’s the message? How about the people who lost their jobs recently. Should they develop a similar condition. Do they deserve death too?

How many people will your bloody selfish ideology murder?

Further you are incorrect. They operate on a Republican imposed budget. Republicans killed those people. After being spineless hypocrites whining about death panels.

The blood from those deaths is on the hands of people who voted Republican. Anyone who voted Republican in Arizona is an accomplice to murder.

They died because government care is based on a finite budget. There will always be a limit on medical procedures in a universal care system. A similar example in the UK.

 Nobody is being murdered.

Is it a death panel when people in the UK die waiting for medical service? There’s no hypocrisy involved in dealing with a limited health care budget which is what has to occur in a government program. If the money isn’t there then the worst cost/benefit item gets cut. How you don’t understand this after all the threads discussing this is mind boggling. People who cannot afford any health care are getting the best care that their government can provide for them with the money available. Did you somehow think prior to this reduction that Medicaid covered everything? Do you not understand the incredible amount of money spent on people who are in the last stages of life? It’s real money, not monopoly money. When it’s gone, it’s gone.

The “blood” is on the hands of the taxpayer who does not have an infinite pocket of money just like any other publicly funded health care system. I can think of 14 trillion reasons why it’s going to get worse. When money is spent that doesn’t exist than it has to be repaid with interest which means less money will be there in the future ensuring more cuts. If Arizona keeps to a budget they will have more money available in the future for care.

Something for you to think about. There are a quarter million illegal aliens living in Arizona. They have “free” healthcare in Mexico. Should we bill Mexico for services rendered or just ship them back so they can get the care owed to them by their country? If not, should we offer transportation to every other 3rd world country for free medical care?

Since this has NOTHING to do with the thread I invite you to take your hate-filled political rant and start a new thread.

In the coming years, I expect both Republicans who acted so outraged about “death panels” and Democrats who acted as if the very notion was the equivalent of believing in an alien conspiracy to continue discovering supply, demand, and cost as you have here.

“MEXICANS! MEXICANS! MEXICANS! IT’S THE MEXICANS FAULT! No hate-filled irrelevant rants please…”

Yes, somehow mentioning a burden on Arizona’s health care budget is a hate filled rant.
