Anyone know the reason behind the “major delays” (as vaguely announced by the static-laden speakers) on the Blue and Orange lines last night. Heard the part about the 1-2 hour delay for buses and had to chuckle about the Three Stooges like efficiency of the Metro management- “Hey Mo-- the train won’t go!” “Why you chowderhead, I’l murder ya” “Wo Wo Wo Wo”.
Also, loved the 4 announcers talking at the same time style of information dissemination-- nice.
Try developing some contingency plans you morons. Sigh. . . .
There was something on the news this morning about insulation burning off some overheated wiring in one of the tunnels. Any little bit of smoke these days and they shut down the line.
This thread is quite surreal. Change the location (Washington DC to London UK), and the name (Metro to Tube) and pretty much of all the same arguments apply.
How might Sydney government provide clean transport with a finger recently pulled from its bloated arse?
I lived in Calgary and Edmonton, and never had any trouble with the transportation there. I wonder if we’ll have anything like that out in the boonies here.
