Ah, what the hell, I'll pit Michael Schiavo

What are the odds, Mrs. Schiavo will be “liberated” from her grave?

Two years ago, I was going through a very stressful time. We were moving, a relative had died very suddenly and there were myriad other problems. I lost weight because I didn’t feel like eating. I’m a small person, so, for me, losing ten pounds is a big deal.

I went to see my doctor on an unrelated issue, and she spent at least ten minutes asking probing questions about my weight loss-- whether I threw up frequently, how I felt about my weight, how much I ate every day, etc. She took blood samples (which wouldn’t have been needed for the issue I had come to discuss) and told me to increase my fat intake. (She actually ordered me to drink at least one milkshake per day.) She made an appointment to see me in a month and said if I hadn’t gained weight by then, she would send me to a specialist.

If I’d had an eating disorder, I’m confident she would have discovered it. Although I insisted it was just stress, she was still very cautious about it. I recently saw copies of my medical records where my weight issue was noted in detail.

You start to think they had fun doing it.

:dubious:

I was asking how they are now determining if she had bulimia. I don’t think it’s odd to ask this and I don’t know why everyone, except Squink, misunderstood my question. To me, it seemed like finding out if you had a flu, your regular kind, 15 years ago. It seemed silly.

Now I know bones are like tree trunks, and you can posibly determine “when” something might have happened to it and “why”. There, that weird enough for ya?

Holy crap! I should have proofread! Well, I guess you guys realized I meant “the date of death” or you would have been heckling me about that.
