My friend created a neat program that acts as an answering machine service for AOL Instant Messenger. When you’re offline, AIM users can drop you messages that you can pick up later. It’s a lot easier than email, plus you can leave yourself messages and reminders.
To register, Instant Message this screenname: AIMStickieNotes
Try it out, it’s rather handy. And feel free to share it with whomever you please.

You know, they usually say not to ressurect old threads like this, but I guess if you have something substantial like that to add, they should make an exception.
