Many TV weathercasts provide “pollution” information - pollen count, ozone, particulate levels… But I was wondering about relative differences in air quality from city to city - not based on pollutants, but on say… oxygen levels, or salt content.
I was wondering about the relative difference, and long-term effect if any, of - say, the salt laden air in an island compared to a town leeward of a significant forest, or to the leeward of a large “barren” desert.
Is it pressure, altitude, temperature, & humidity alone (which have bearing on the oxygen level anyway) which define a deep breath of air as “brisk” or invigorating ? How many of y’all notice the difference ? Can one find such data ?(I went and made a cursory check with NOAA, no luck).
