Air rifle has no pressure?

I have a Remington Airmaster 77 pump action BB/pellet gun. It’s only a few months old. The last time I used it (a month or so ago) it worked fine. I took it out today, but when i pump it there’s no resistance at all, no matter how many times I pump. What could be wrong? The loading action works. The trigger works. Nothing appears to be broken. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a damaged seal. Did you leave the gun stored with pressure in it?

Any chance you stored it still pumped up? The warnings in the instruction manual lead me to believe that could cause damage. I’d guess a blown seal* somewhere.

  • [old joke]No, just a milkshake.[/old joke]

No, it wasn’t stored still pumped (at least, I’m 99% sure…)

I don’t know where or what kind of valve this uses, but is there any chance there’s a pellet stuck in it?

I’m grasping at troubleshooting straws here, yo.

I appreciate it. I looked as best I could but do not see anything stuck, and I hear the air discharge when I pull the trigger.

Anyway halfway decent gun shop can probably diagnose it in two seconds. I can’t recommend any, but there’s a big one on South Blvd.

You are still in the QC, right? Damn, it’s been too long since we hoisted one.

Looks like you blew a seal.

Sounds like you got a leak.

There’s a Crosman authorized service dealer not terribly far. I’l have him take a look. Thanks everyone.
