RuPaul’s new mash-up of “To Wong-Fu” with “Little Orphan Annie” and just a touch of “Cannonball Run.”
Weirdly, I love it. RuPaul is invitingly genuine, and his struggle is painfully recognizable. I’m only on episode three, so I don’t know where we’re going with this. But we’ve already had a chick fight between two Diana Rosses (or would that be Dianas Ross?) a one-eyed dragon lady gangster, and “The Greatest American Hero” as an RV mechanic.
How could I possibly miss whatever comes next?
I guess it’s a natural follow-up to that show about a guy and his hairy gay friend, BJ and the Bear.
[sub]… whaddya mean, “that was a chimp”…? [/sub]
quite enjoyed it. I will be interested to see where they take it in the next season.
I really really wish there was a Bob Mackie museum in Mt. Juliet.
It was quite fun to see Queens i recognize from Drag Race a well as cameos of other people. Tia Carrera looked a little rough though. I wasn’t sure what happened with her eye, I assume that there was supposed to be a botched procedure but if it was mentioned i missed it.
Correction: The RV mechanic was not “The Greatest American Hero” after all. He was “The Beastmaster.”
Sorry about that!
