Al Franken--your next Senator from MN.

At least Franken is consistent in his stated views. Coleman is like a pee-wee hockey player, always skating to the puck. Bush and the war are popular? Get behind them and try to cheer even louder than all the other supporters. Bush and the war are unpopular? Drop them like a hot potato. I wouldn’t trust Coleman to sell me a car, fer cryin’ out loud.

I’ve always called him “Diamond” Norm Coleman. He’s a slippery politician (and not just because of his mid-term to defection to the Republican side). So far, I’ve only seen Coleman’s actions as completely self-serving in spite of the facts (He claimed that he was responsible for creating the Midway shopping center which, yes, was built under his mayoral term but was already underway with the previous mayor.) Things like that, and plentiful things like that, are why I wouldn’t trust him with a dirty diaper much less Senatorial power.

As for Franken, meh. He’s got some good points (socially liberal) but he’s too liberal fiscally for me to get a spark going for me. On the other hand, I’d be more than happy to toss him my vote to send Coleman packing.

Yep. That sums up my opinions about the situation quite nicely.

Sorry, but I’ve got nothing to add.

But am I the only person who keeps reading this thread title to the theme of:

Al Franken, you’re the next contestant on the Price is Right!
