I disagree that the missing two years has been a disaster. I think the timeframe should’ve maybe been shorter, just because jumping from 2003 to 2005 was a huge leap. They haven’t made any sort of an issue out of what year it is, though (no references to the intervening presidential election or current events) and my feeling is that by the end of the current season or early in season 4 the show’s time and real time will be synched up.

I distinctly remember one of the earlier episodes this year mentioning that it is 2003 in the Alias world right now.

Sydney was exonerated the the hand of Lazarey found in the desert. The Lazarey “murder” occurred a year ago, but forensic evidence proved the hand was alive four months ago.

Also, can someone explain the closing dialogue between Will and Syd? I recall it being something like Syd saying “We never discussed that” and Will saying “I know, that’s how I like it”. Huh?
