I could not identify a single Alicia Keys song if my life depended on it, but while channel surfing tonight I caught her singing “Fallin’” and I can swear I’ve heard that same piano in another song from long ago. I even recall the background singers “Ah-whoop”. Where have I heard this before?
I had the same reaction. I knew it sound familiar and couldn’t place it.
Keys is a modern singer that I like. Some of her R&B stuff would have been hits 30 years ago.
She’s got some hip hop that I avoid.
Yeah, now I’m getting the James Brown thing. Thanks for the link. I’m still going to be on the lookout for the song in my head though. I know it’s out there somewhere. (Probably in my own collection.)
