All Hail Cecil, King of Cecilland

You all knew that our Fearless Leader had to come of regal stock, right? May I present to you his ancestor Seisyll, King of Seisyllwg. (That’s the Welsh for Cecil and “Cecil-stan” respectively.)

His Majesty King Cecil was King of Ceredigion (the southern part of the “inner curve” of the Welsh coasts between the Pembroke and Aberdare Peninsulas) who conquered Ystrad Tywi (the Tywi River Valley area, in what was Carmarthenshire) and gave his name to the united countries. Seisyllwg was in existence as a separate country from about 700 to 781 AD, when it was united with Gwynedd, Powys, and Maeleinydd by King Rhodri Mawr (the Great) of Gwynedd.

It later regained independence as Deheubarth, with some territory added.

Is that sufficiently mundane and pointless for you?

It’s a lie.

Whereas the Cecil figure is of aristocratic stock, his ancestry is by no means Welsh, but Lombard.

They could be related.

No relative of Cecil Adams would be caught dead without his 1920’s Style Death Ray, & that article doesn’t say Seisyll used one.

So there. :stuck_out_tongue:

I meant: “They couldn’t be related.” :smack:
