Thank you for once again making my point. I expect this kind of *stupidity *(tip of the hat to manson1972) from Faux News watchers, but not from Times readers. Very disturbing.
Yesterday the Times printed letters from disillusioned thump supporters, but there were only two. <shrug> Not sure how to interpret that.
Today there were letterscommenting on the decision of the paper to print the pro-thump comments, some for it, some agin. Here’s one:
“For the last year, we have been telling the country over and over that they are stupid, wrong, evil, hateful, and moronic. Here are letters from the only two people we have convinced.”
“For the last year, we have been telling the country over and over that they are stupid, wrong, evil, hateful, and moronic. Here are letters from the only two people who were literate enough to respond.”
You could start by asking what exactly Trump did to cause this, (not a thing). Then you could point out what his predecessor did to get the economy back on track, after a near-disaster, and the rise that followed.
You know damn well that if the economy was tanking, they’d be giving all of the credit to Obama. They blamed Obama for the melt-down that occurred during G.W.’s administration, (when they weren’t blaming Clinton). The fact is, the Right is happy to manipulate the truth, and their voters are happy to lap it up.
