All Time Funniest/Least Funny SNL Recurring Sketch

Brain fellows? lol
Thanks for reminding me of Horatio-Carol!

I thought the “cheezebooger” location was always supposed to be an homage to Chicago’s Billy Goat Tavern.

It’s “Toonces”, and the funny part was that he was going to crash the car every time.

Funniest: Coneheads, Mr. Robinson’s neighborhood, Samurai [whatever]. Church Chat, Spartan Cheerleaders, Nat X, The Loud Family.

Lamest: Killer Bees, Massive Headwould Harry.

[Trebek hijack] Attention, “Jeopardy!” fans… regarding the “Celebrity Jeopardy!” skits, have any of the celebrities depicted in these skits actually done Celebrity Jeopardy for real, before or after the skit aired? [/Th]

I only started watching SNL in the late 90’s so my memories are a little on the new side.

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed at a Mango skit. Ever. What is he supposed to be anyway? He’s not gay, he’s not a transexual, he’s just an effeminate guy who everyone, even men, are apparently attracted to for no reason.

The same goes for Tracy Morgan’s Rocketman sketches.

I thought the Roxbury guys were just ok on average, but one of my favorites skits of all time had Jim Carrey as one of the Roxbury guys. That totally made it for me.

No way! I LOVED the “Nooni” skits! Sure they recycled the same joke over and over, but what recurring sketch doesn’t? The humor comes from how different guest hosts interact with the same old people. Who couldn’t love the hair chair, or the gynecologist chair?

Agree with you on the Deep House Dish though, hate it. “Oo-wee T-Shane!” is supposed to be a catchphrase now?

Not fond of Poeler and Rudolph’s Bronx characters, or the Cougar’s Den either.

Weekend Update usually is great, except for the times they over use Nicolas Fane, the political comedian who can’t make a point, or that new girl Michaela (Watkins? Thompson?)'s Bitch Please movie critic.

Justin Timberlake has some great ones. Any one of his singing mascots is great, and ones where he does music. My favorite Timberlake skit has to be when him and the Hip Hop kids get trapped in a cave and have to dance their way out.

It was all in the presentation; they had a theme song, and then a 6-second setup and bam, over the cliff with the same stock footage. There was just something hilarious about having this big setup about the cute little cat driving a car and it’s instant catastrophe every time.

“He can drive! Just not very well.”

The best Toonces episode was when some dire emergency occurred and Toonces drove to the Sheriff’s office for help. As the Sheriff [John Goodman] watched, Toonces went to a typewriter and started typing out a message. At one point he made a typo, backspaced, and applied White Out to the page.
