My point is he isn’t beheaded or killed in the video that has been censored. There are no gory, horrible details, the video is PG13.

Wow, you guys are really good at imagining conspiracy theories. Can you point out where I or anyone else has offered ANY kind of conspiracy theory? All I know, which others are now agreeing with, is that this video is a fake. It does not show a beheading.
Why is this significant?
Does everything that people discuss have to be significant?
People discuss what they’re interested in, much of which is not significant.
So your response is “Don’t call us conspiracy theorists, we’re too lazy to make something up?” Come on, guys. The CTs are already out there. They’re more reliable than death or taxes. And I said this already: if you think Foley was killed before (or after) the video, there’s no reason to give a shit. So do you think he’s alive and something fishy happened, or what?

And like I said already, I don’t know. Maybe he’s alive, probably more likely he’s dead, hell maybe he joined them. But it’s disturbing that all this outrage is based on a completely fake video, sight unseen by most.

ISTM the people calling this a conspiracy theory are either just lazily trying to rebut something that they don’t agree with by pretending it’s a conspiracy theory, or are just confused by the fact that conspiracy theories frequently feature allegations that some crucial video was faked.
That would be my guess. Guy sees a video he thinks is an obvious fake and sees a lot of people assuming it’s not, so he makes a thread about it.
No different than a zillion other threads around here.

There’s no need to make anything up. The depiction on the video is fake, draw your own conclusions as to why, for what purpose, and why it’s being censored.

It’s current news and the majority of people believe something is happening on the video that in actuality isn’t. I think he’s being true to The Straight Dope Fighting Ignornance Since 1973. And from the looks of this thread, it’s taking longer than we thought.

I don’t get the “sight unseen by most” part.
If US intelligence believes it’s a real video, why should that not be good enough for me? There’s very little that goes on the world that people have seen with their own eyes, and you need to rely on reporters and experts etc. for a lot of things.
It’s true. The video does not show a beheading. It shows what appears to be Foley beheaded, which of course is something completely unrelated.
