Alleged Russian hacker arrested in Spain.

I’m putting this in MPSIMS because the reports don’t indicate yet whether this is related to the election or something else.

For anybody wondering what the National Court is and if it’s like a Supreme Court: Spain’s legal system has at the bottom courts which cover a small area called a partido judicial, then courts that cover their province (except for Euskadi, which gets a single one for all three provinces), then the Supreme Court. The National one works as both a first-level for issues considered to affect areas larger than a province (or multiple provinces), and as the appellate tribunal for issues which started in a province-level court. Hacking crimes tend to affect several provinces so they’re assigned to that court.

Other sites are saying he was wanted in connection with a banking Trojan, and not the Podesta phish.

Still, all you have to do is to prove/allege old Donnie slipped him a bunch of bitcoin, and you’re away to the races !

I had a feeling that it would be something like that. I’m glad to see that he was caught. People like that can create a lot of havoc in people’s lives.
