Why do charities that canvas door-to-door offer chocolate bars only with almonds?
I think that’s a flawed premise. Every time I got suckered into selling candy bars (usually for school), both almond and plain were available, and I think a few other varieties.
Speaking as someone who’s done the candy-sale thing (not door-to-door, though; we don’t like the kiddies selling to strangers), the almond bars tend to be the fastest moving ones. It’s tricky, deciding how many boxes of which kind you want to order, and if you get the boxes with an assortment, you end up with a whole bunch of the “crisp” bars left. No one wants those, and you can’t return anything from an opened box.
