So Romero intended this footage to be in the movie, but the distributor cut it. I wonder if it can somehow be saved from public domain, so Romero can get some well-deserved money from one of the greatest movies ever made.
I hope he releases a ‘director’s cut’ with this extra stuff in it.

I always felt sorry for the guy for not making the insane money from that movie that he should have. On the other hand, I also wonder if it would have achieved the mad cult status it has if it hadn’t been public domain.
Sure would like to see the footage, though.
