Does anyone else like this little (30 minutes) tv show on BBCA as much as I do? Oh my goodness – I’m enchanted by this couple!

Not surprised. I’ve only seen four issues but hope there’ll be many more. Georgie and Poppy were visiting four U.S. cities – New York, Boston, Detroit, and Philadelphia, I believe.

I think they’re pretty sharp on the quips; I’m enjoying it. I heard it’s BBC’s first comedy, that can’t be right, is it?

No, that’s not right. It might be BBC America’s first comedy but certainly isn’t the BBC’s first comedy. And note that the title is Almost Royal, not Almost Royalty. And pay attention to the opening narration; I think in the first episode they were described as 50th and 51st in line for the throne, but the number has been dropping each episode.
I haven’t seen the show yet, but the characters were very funny when they were on Graham Norton a while back.

I’ve been watching and I think it’s hilarious. It’s basically Borat, but instead of an uncouth peasant from Kazakhstan, they’re good-natured, wealthy snobs from England.
Poppy is funny and great at putting people off guard by flirting with them, but I think Georgie comes up with the best lines.
I was a bit worried about them in that Detroit episode–it looked like they were roaming around in some rough neighborhoods!

When I called them a couple, I meant them as a couple of actors playing parts as brother and sister. I thought Poppy seemed absolutely enchanting while insisting the two of them DO have benefits as brother and sister, and that in Britain selfies aren’t allowed and could ‘make you go blind’. Without the differences in American and British customs and languages, it wouldn’t be a show.

I watched the LA and the I think Boston episode (they go to a tea party meeting). I thought it was amusing but not riotous.

I’ve been loving this. My favorite moments are whenever Poppy becomes aware of the camera and starts model-posing. Her flirts with the shy oil change tech had me literally choking with laughter.
I feel a breeze. 
That’s because other young royals ahead of them keep popping out babies!
