IMHO, taking a shot at what she wears isn’t taking potshots at her appearance. When you dress like a clown you can’t expect it to go unnoticed, let alone uncommitted on.
The line gets blurry in cases like this, where the outfit was clearly supposed to send the message “I am a Patriotic American[tm] (unlike you libtard losers)”. IMO, an attempt to look more patriotic than thou which fell on its face and made her look like a clown is fair game for mockery.
That f’ing dress costs $3600? Seriously? Please tell me we didn’t pay for it.
scroll down to the picture of it, look to the left.
I already suggested it almost three weeks ago here, post #50:

Nobody took me up on it, though.
Hey, it just means she’s rooting for the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
I will just concentrate on how ugly she is on the inside.
Give it time…it’s too good an idea to not gain traction. (Although it’s not helped by the fact that the character got cut from the theatrical release.)
And while melania was dressed in all American designers- KAC went a different direction.
I’ll pay for the MRI.
While I don’t think it’s right to make fun of someone for what they wear, I think KAC’s dress may be more evidence, along with her ability to shamelessly work and lie for Mad King Trump, that her head isn’t screwed on quite right.
I can’t think of a single fully sane and intelligent human being (in the US at least) who would think it was a good idea go to a high profile event, watched by thousands, dressed in that, let alone pay thousands of dollars for it.
Either that or she was somehow purposefully trolling us by wearing that abomination.
But on to the topic of the thread. Alternate facts? Really?! I can’t believe she said that with a straight face. I can’t believe it only took a few days into the Fanta Facist’s presidency before we dove headfirst into the world of 1984.
I would just “love” to see the Trump supporters on this board try to defend this affront to logic, reason and decency.
Looks like somebody beat you to it.
Have you seen her in interviews. Somehow actual fact doesn’t seem to penetrate the force field around her. I’ve always been a little jealous of people who are capable of that kind of mass delusion. It’s horrifying but somehow still mesmerizing to watch.
The problems come when people start to be mesmerized by the content too and it becomes a situation where presenting facts is viewed as bullying. Perception is a terrifying thing in the wrong hands.
Oh, stop being so dramatic, AtomThought.
I have observed that they usually ignore questions where their hero’s camp is clearly in the wrong. I don’t blame them; I’d be embarrassed and hide my face, too.
Although, if I may presume to channel Starving Artist, he’d probably say that the concept of “alternative facts” is part of some brilliant strategy trademarked by the brilliant DJT and it resides in the stratosphere far, far above the heads of us mere, mundane, mediocre mortals, 'cause the guy’s so danged brilliant, dontcha know. (Pass me that Kool-Ade, wouldja?)
Looks and hair, OK, but the outfit was a deliberate political statement to signify the “Trump Revolution.” She was trying to look like a revolutionary soldier. It’s perfectly legitimate to ridicule the fact that she looked more like a tin soldier.
On the other hand, she may have been going for Papa Smurf.
Kellyanne is presenting alternative fashion sense.
Easier than you think… and delivered without the slightest awareness of irony or self awareness:
Delusional overdrive engaged.
Alternative fact: nothing quite says I’m an American Patriot more than wearing Gucci…
Yes but I *did *mentioned her hair, which I am not proud of. On the plus side, I didn’t mention her jacked up teeth or sun damaged hide so . . .
Okay, that is the last crappy thing I’m going to say about her appearance here. There are plenty of substantial things to mock her and her Dear Leader for; no need to get as petty as they.
I totally agree about the hair, but one sees that lank, raggedy look a lot these days. I don’t get it. <Slinks away>
