Am I crazy, or is this picture backwards?

OK.

So, it does look like maybe rime frost. Nice pictures, by the way. I do thank you for that link…it cools me off a little bit. Got up to 90 degrees this week, which is just annoying.

But is it a correct representation of rime frost, or a backwards representation of rime frost? You all will have to excuse me…I have no experience with that sort of weather.

And I am gratified that this is actually generating some discussion. I thought I was just crazy, but evidently I’m not the only one who might have some problems parsing that picture.

If the instrument is frozen, and the wind is blowing from the left, then it could be an accurate representation. If the instrument is free to spin, it will never look like that. I doubt it would ever look like that in the real world.
