Amazon Orders - Has anyone ever had one shipped in 24 hours

A good question. I’m a tech-geek and order geek-books often. These books usually run more than $50 so just a few of them run into hundreds a month. I guess I spend in excess of $1200.00 a year with them, and possibly close to $2400 since I also read for pleasure. I would have thought that this would make me one of their better customers. I wonder why I consistently can’t get orders shipped? I am always careful about ordering books that say “usually ship in 24 hours.” When I need a book that ships in a longer time period, I usually put it in a separate order. Of course, as I said in the OP, I rarely need a book that quickly, so this is more of curiosity than anything else.

if the book is shipped out of the new castle, delaware facility, i get it within 24 hours.

Well, late on Monday April 8th, I logged on to Amazon in Austin, and I ordered a DVD of “The Mikado” for my Mom in New York. She received it on the afternoon of Wednesday April 10th.

Not QUITE 24 hours, technically, but pretty dang good.
