Police are searching for for a 9-year-old Jennifer Renee Short, seen in a Franklin County Sheriff Department handout, after her parents were found shot to death in their Bassett, Va. home Thursday morning Aug. 15, 2002.
I sure hope the find her and whomever killed her parents.

Very sick people living nowdays. I sure hope they find her, and all the other missing kids. Hasn’t anyone noticed a larger amount of these cases nowdays?
To the best of my understanding, abductions are down somewhat, and the media is just publicizing cases more. Last spring two young girls (sisters) disappeared in Chicago, but other than the attention of the local media for a few months, and something around the one-year anniversary of their disappearance, it never got national media attention.
These aren’t even all of the presumed stranger abduction cases (which are vastly outnumbered by the abductions by family members, like non-custodial parents); a few months back or so, a family in Milwaukee wondered why no national media outlets seemed concerned that their daughter (who is black) had gone missing, but all of these young white girls from good neighborhoods had high-profile cases. Hopefully the media is working to be sure this isn’t the case.
I think it’s just a slow news month…

Of the three the only thing remotely new are kidnappings
