One week from today, on Dec 6) I will get wired up for a 3-day ambulatory EEG. I’m supposed to sit in front of a video camera as much as possible. Read, watch TV, sleep, etc. Does anyone have experience with one of these? How much of a pain in the arse will this be? Can I talk on a cell phone? What else can I expect?
I wore one for a period about 10 years ago. It raised some eyebrows at work, but I can’t even remember it being intrusive or being a pain at all. I can’t remember what I did about bathing though. I do remember having patches of chest hair shaved for the occasion. (They grew back.)
Sorry. That’s all I got. In other words it was nothing memorable.
I would be so tempted to do things to mess with my alpha/beta/delta/theta waves. A little light hypnosis anyone? How about some sodium pentathol? Does orgasm alter brain waves (probably wouldn’t do that on camera, though)? How about holding puppies? Watching funny movies?
Dammit, why do I alway get the BORING tests like blood draws?
I think I may have referenced the wrong cardiogram.
