What a great idea! I’ve been wishing lately that I could have a DVD or something that had all the performances on it, from all the seasons. And then that they were all separate tracks, so I didn’t have to watch ones that I didn’t want to. Maybe somehow be able to even delete the ones I don’t ever wanna see, but keep the great ones.
Bo Bice’s “In a Dream”, of course. And I loved John Stevens’ “King of the Road”. I had an audio clip on my old computer that I used to listen to a lot. See now my mind is blanking because I don’t have all those videos! I know that I was a huge LaToya fan, but I can’t remember a specific performance. And I’m sure Nadia blew me away at some point too.
Connie’s BoRap and Gedeon’s “When a Man…” both made me think differently about a performer that I previously hadn’t liked.
I guess I need to search the net and find some sites that have the clips
I don’t have anything personally that blows my hair back, but my wife just loooooved Anwar Robinson’s “What a Wonderful World”. Found it on the web and burned it to her own personal faves CD.
Kelly Clarkson’s “Stuff like that there” was the first episode I ever caught, I was floored and an immediate fan of her and the show.
Kim Locke had some moments that just gave me shivers. I first noticed her doing “Band of Gold” with Frenchie and was impressed but when she did “Home” (The Wiz) and “I Can’t Make You Love Me” I was amazed.
Trenyce’s “I Have Nothing” was a total showstopper, LaToya’s “All By Myself” and George Huff’s “Lean On Me” stand out for me, as well as Carrie Underwood’s version of “Crying”.
Add to that Amy Adams’ version of “Sin Wagon”, where she just absolutely nailed it. Could probably take over the Dixie Chicks’ singing duty if Natalie Maines gets sick ;).
