Am I the only one who is annoyed that when they go to expound on something, they always look about 20 degrees off from the camera? They’re mostly outside during these asides, so I guess the deal is that they’re squinting a bit and therefore it’s easier to conceal that they’re just reading a board.

Pretty much. It feels much more staged than most reality tv, and that’s saying something.
