Ya gotta wonder though how he could have acted without her knowledge when you read
While its possible that he could have hidden all that from her, if the apartment was as small as most of the ones that I’ve been in, I don’t see how he could have.
Then again, it’s always possible that she was too dumb to realize what all of it was.
Her: Honey, who’s this guy in the picture?
Him: Uh, that’s uh, Fred! Yeah, Fred! He and I, uh, went to school together back in Turkey! Yeah that’s it!
Tucker: Well if the case is that open and shut the trial will last less than a month. You’ll have your justice in time for New Years, with our current justice system. Or you could fuck up our entire country that your forefathers died to protect just so you can rush your petty vengence up three months.
Yeah, I’ll just wave my magic wand and do that. This may come as a shock to you, but just because I toss off something casually doesn’t mean that its a firmly held conviction of mine, or that it will actually come to pass.
The girlfriend knew what was going on. I was watching CNN today and the girlfriend told another co-worker of hers not to go to work on Sep. 11; that something was going to happen. The co-worker went to German authorities who raided the apartment and found the bomb making materials. So I have no sympathy for that bitch. I’m not in favor of ripping up the Constitution however, I’m in favor of trying those two fuckwits in the Texas courts and sentencing them to 40 years hard labor breaking big rocks into little rocks. I’d be happy with that. After that, I wouldn’t waste any more breath or thought on them. They’re not worth it.
One more thought I just had; which of the two would be bombers is going to break first and squeal on the other one? I wonder if there’s honor among terrorists?
Well, given that they were arrested in Germany, by German authorities, medstar, it’s highly unlikely you’ll get your wish. I imagine that they’ll be prosecuted under German law first and then the girlfriend might be handed over to US authorities for additional prosecution later. In any case, I imagine that if she’s put into the general prison population in the US her life expectantcy will be short.
Well, not to be too shocking here, but I, a very very loyal American, have numerous pictures of Osama bin Laden in my home, and I’m willing to bet that you do, too. Having a picture of a guy doesn’t mean you agree with him.

And the people who are starting to annoy me are those who don’t appear the least bit conflicted about the fact that there’s a group of people out there who want to destroy us, and are using our own freedoms and privileges we allow them to do it.
People that are too stupid, apparently, to foresee a day when terrorists could force us into a choice - curtail civil liberties, or lose people by the thousands (or maybe more) every so often.
Do I think that means we shred the Constitution, and do a wholesale curtailing of civil liberties? No, I don’t.
My only problem is with the apparently growing legion of people who are so seemingly myopic. People who think, “I’d rather this nation was wiped out than limit our freedoms.”
If you aren’t extremely troubled that there are fucking Americans buying into our destruction, who are aligning themselves with the most hate-filled, anti-Semitic, racist, fascist, misogynist zealot in recent memory, you’re the fuckhead.
You lose. I don’t have any pics of Binny. In any case, the combination of bin Laden photos AND bomb making materials ought to set one’s alarm bells ringing.
quote "You lose. I don’t have any pics of Binny. In any case, the combination of bin Laden photos AND bomb making materials ought to set one’s alarm bells ringing." End of quote.
If You have Times or Newsweek, I bet You have. If You do not have, You should buy. Or something else to read.
The authoroties can not tell what is the chemicals?
Washing powder or what?
One guy that I know in US, made plastics for his bike he invented.
He had chemicals for his bike in his garage.
He also wrote poems to a site.
FBI came to him with two poems that they saw was “against the government”. He addmitted he is against the government, that he has voted as some millions of fellow Americans.
FBI found his “chemicals” and he got arrested.
This guy has nothing to do with the Arabic world. I think his anchestors are English.
You can just imagine what would have happened if he would have been a muslim…
If I lived in US, I would never give up one single right that is written in the law. And You are very blue-eyed if You think that they will not use all the power they get “in the gray zone” as well.
That they do in every country. Every.
Even Yours.
Btw. I am sure FBI is reading also this site. They should. It is their job. And FSB is reading this here in Russia, they should, it is their job.
Needless to say that I will never ask for a visa to Your country.
Then you should really read CNN.com more often, subscribe to Time, Newsweek, USN&WR, the New York Times, USAToday, or any of a number of newspapers and periodicals that we have in this wonderful country. Since you apparently don’t read any news sources, I have to assume that you’re ill informed of the world around you, and as such, you really shouldn’t be commenting on current events.
Either that, or I just caught you on one of the 2 or so days a week that your newspaper DIDN’T have a bin Laden picture, and you’re very up to date on throwing out old issues. But I still bet you have a picture of OBL in your house more often than not.
Yeah, I know, Tuckerfan. I was just ranting. I’m relieved that the plot was discovered and broken up before anything happened. I’m not in favor of losing any of my civil liberties either, so I hope that in these circumstances people will pay attention to what’s going on around them, ask questions, and alert the authorities if things are happening that don’t seem right.
Flymaster, my news sources are (in order of most frequently used):
1.) NPR radio.
2.) CNN.com (however, I have my browser set to clear the cache upon exit)
3.) Sunday newspaper, which after it’s read get’s tossed immediately, save for the classifieds.
So while it’s certainly conceivable that I might have a photo of Bin Laden in my place, odds are it isn’t there for very long.
ah, but that is where the essential response is different. you say, i presume, that we should increase security with as little damage to the constituiton as possible and reduce freedoms by as small a margin as we can while still recieving a benefit in security.
i say, on the contrary, that we should NOT increase ‘visible’ security in any way and the constitution should remain absolutely unchanged in any way. that includes repeal of the Patriot act. as for the terrorists, i believe that we should eat their economy alive.
Tucker, I know you’re not going to wave a magic wand and make it happen. It’s just that I am disturbed that your attitude, is the prevalent one. That protecing ourselves from terrorism is more important than the constitution. You may have been making a flippant comment, but too many people actually think like that.
