Ameritrade Question

I have an Ameritrade account which I took all the money out of last May. It’s still open and I don’t seem to have incurred any fees. It would be nice to keep it open so that I don’t need a minimum of $ 2000 to get reinvested when I have more money again. Is there any reason to close it?

I’m a former TD Ameritrade employee.

There is no minimum to open an account any longer. There are no maintenance fees to keep the account open either.

I"m not sure if they’re monitoring the amount of streaming data/research you’re using. I"m sure they wouldn’t want someone using all of their tools and research to trade with a competitor.

I’m not really using their stuff to do anything. It’s kind of dormant.
