Amigos, Romanos, companeros-Shakespeare in translation

In the thread about older celebrities it is mentioned that Leon Askin(Gen. Burkhalter) played King Lear in German.

I’ve wondered before how often the Bard has been translated into languages other than English. My thread title recalls a high school Spanish class, when we were being taught about the difficulties of translating from one language to another.

Anyone care to tell about seeing non-English Shakespeare?

Hamlet is better in the original Klingonese.

I have nothing to add to this topic, but that is one hella fine thread title.

Thank you don’t mind me! I actually did the whole oration of Anthony for that Spanish class.

I first read Shakespeare in Portuguese. Macbeth I think.

Very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very often.

Well there is the rap translation of Comedy of Errors.
