Wheee! I hope the mom paid him well for that.
Cedar Point. My favorite is still the Magnum XL2000. I went up there a couple years ago, rode the Magnum again, got off and said to my sister: That is still one of the most excellent roller coasters I’ve ever ridden. Damn fine ride!
I worked at CP somewhere around 1989. I was a Games Hostess (carnival barker ;)). Best part about that job was when they’d have employee night. After closing, all the rides stayed open and we all got to be guests at CP for a change (except the ride operators and it must have sucked to be them).
CP has its own water park and there was a wave pool on the land side of the Causeway in Sandusky. I’m not a big fan of water parks (festering pools of bacteria), so no comments there.
But I do live 3.5 hours from Orlando and all that is Disney, and I will still happily drive 1000 miles north to Cedar Point because it’s that much better, IMO.
Cedar Point is an amusement park chain now that includes Kansas City Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun. I guess you can get a pass good at the other Cedar point affiliates.
Kennywood’s Jack Rabbit-ah, good times!!
