Andrew Snelling, who really is a geologist, but also an Answers in Genesis young earth creationist, has been trying to get rock samples from the Grand Canyon for years in order to prove that it isn’t really millions of years old. But National Park Service policy forbids the removing of rocks from its parks. So Snelling is now suing the National Park Service to let him take rock samples.
There is already a thread on this in GD.
So sue him!
Since I don’t often look at GD (they tend to get repetitive) I will give my opinion here. What the hell does he think he is going to find that is different from what he would find in my garden? It sounds like a publicity stunt to me.
