The 47-story Intempo towers residential project in Benidorm, Spain, is 94% complete, and the builders have just realized that the top 27 floors have no elevators. Oops.
The project seems to have changed hands a couple of times, and the bank backing it collapsed so that construction was taken over by an ominously-named “bad bank.” It was originally supposed to be 20 stories, but it got expanded at some point, and no one added additional elevator space. Also, apparently construction had proceeded up to 23 floors before anyone in charge realized that there was no service elevator, and workers were carrying everything up the stairs. Clearly, this project is cursed.
Also, it looks like a pair of pants.
