An easy pit. O'Reilly. He has lost it, you better be scared

What, that Grant was bisexual? It’s open for debate, but there’s speculation that he had a relationship with fellow actor Randolph Scott. But Grant also had numerous relationships with women, and Dyan Cannon, one of his exes said that there was no way he was gay. So while I’ll buy that he may have swung both ways, I don’t think Grant was totally homosexual. (Hey, he was Cary Grant! He was so wonderful it wouldn’t be fair for him to be exclusively hetero or homo!)
The only really successful famous actor I can think of at the moment who’s openly gay would be Sir Ian McKellen. I HAVE seen him play a straight male lead (Nicholas II in HBO’s Rasputin biopic), but perhaps someone else could tell me if that’s usually the case.

As much as I’d really like to claim him for our team, I don’t think Cary Grant was gay or even bi. Sigh.

Brother Cadfael is gay? Really?

Indeed. Well the actor’s gay anyway. In fact, Jacobi played Cerano De Bergerac on stage for a while.

Flaming bisexual David Bowie has played a number of leads including The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976), Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (1983), The Hunger (1983), Mr. Rice’s Secret (2000) (ok, never heard of that one), and presumably others.

Ack! Not to mislead: Cerano is a decidedly heterosexual character (which was suppose to be the point I was making).

McKellen is Magneto in the X-men movies and Magneto does appear to be straight:

[about Mystique] Wolverine: She’s good.
Magneto: You have no idea!

Is Gandolf gay?

Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.

Dude, where have you been? Everyone knows that Gandolf is gay. In fact, Frodo and Sam are, at the very least, bi-curious. And lets not even start on Merry and Pipin…

I thought Gandalf was a hobbisexual.

Gives new meaning to the ‘hobbit hole’.

Suddenly I don’t want my breakfast burrito any more.

Your burrito is gay?
