Shared just because I think this guy is amazingly cool. I’ve tried live drumming on an MPC, and it’s difficult.

He looks like he knows his way around an electronic drum trigger pad, that’s for sure. So it is its own instrument now? Lord I am old.
You might consider asking the mods to update the thread title to something like “Drum Machines - virtuoso player”?? (or just tell me to get with the times…)
Yeah, I guess so. I had thought it was more common knowledge than it apparently is.
And yep, it certainly can be played as its own instrument. Why not, y’know? You have 16 assignable pads there, allowing you to conceptualize, compose, and perform as you see fit.
What kills me is that the guy is doing all the drum rolls and multiple snare hits, etc. in real time. Good stuff.
