An Iomega Jaz-drive question

My old company jumped on the Iomega bandwagon early on. We all wound up with 1GB Jaz drives in our PCs. My brothers company also used them and he sent me a handful of the disks for my personal use.

I’m no longer there and have about 10 disks with no way to get the data off.
Does anyone know of a service out there that will read these disks and burn me DVD-R or CD-Rs?

Thanks.

You can probably buy a used Jaz drive at a Hamfest for under $5.

Also check out thrift shops and such.

Buying one used on ebay is likely to be (by far) the cheapest solution. They loook to run $ 20-30 for a working unit with PS and cable.

The question was how to get data off of the disks, not where to find more disks.

I dumped my JAZ stuff last year, so unfortunately I can’t help.

Who’s talking about more disks? Everyone, especially astro, gave good suggestions about where to get a used drive so the OP could retrieve the data on his own.

Thanks for the ebay suggestion; that never occurred to me.

It definitely would be cheaper than paying someone to convert for me.

Time to bid…
