In some ways, it seems maybe a bit forced, but I agree with the overall argument. It’s certainly a very interesting idea, at least to me.

Yeah, sort of. The key difference is that we’ve not recreated the ability for those unseen creatures to directly act upon the seen world; [del]goblins[/del] Pokemon exist in an [del]unseen realm[/del] networked AR that can only be perceived using a [del]special amulet[/del] suitably equipped smartphone…

But Pokemon can’t just turn up and chew your legs off in the middle of the night.
