I have a pain issue in my left hip. Pretty sure its bursitis, i’ll find out for sure at some point.
Meanwhile, one thing is certain: if i am seated, and my left leg is bent at the knee, bending at the hip is intolerably painful in the hip. If I straighten the leg, bending at the hip is fine.
Just in anatomical terms, what is connecting the knee and hip so directly, what is the bent knee changing at the hip so that the hip cannot bend without pain?
