Oh - I’m making my NYTX trip again in four weeks. I’m going to try to make it past Chattanooga on the first day, see if I can’t do it in a day and a half instead of two full days.
Congrats on making it in one piece, andygirl! And much faster than walking those 500 miles, too :).
I’ve done the Denver, CO to Seattle, WA drive three times (twice going west and once going east) by myself, taking 2 and a half days each time. I discovered that even though my car’s speedometer overreads by 5 miles an hour at 60 mph, it doesn’t overread by 10 at an indicated 90 mph. (And no, a police officer didn’t help me with that discovery, the mile markers did).
